Conferenceseries LLC Organizes 1000+ Conferences Every Year across USA, Europe & Asia with support from 1000 more scientific societies and Publishes 700+ Open access journals which contains over 100000 eminent personalities, reputed scientists as editorial board members.

Scope and Importance

Patient Safety 2017 aims to discover advances in health practice, management and education in relation to health disparities as well as a breadth of other topics. According to the reports, total health care spending of UK is 14.7% of GDP according to 2014 and estimated to increase of 20.3% by 2017. Estimated health care expenditure of UK is $509 million, it is higher compared to other countries of Europe continent. Public Health event is a platform to share encounters and deliver hindrances to decrease medication related harm from policy-makers, leading specialists and patient delegates.

Who can attend?

Patient Safety conference brings Researchers, Senior scientists, Professors, Doctors, Nurses, Healthcare Professionals, Pharmacologists, Clinicians, Directors of Association and Societies, Postgraduate students, and those who work in research and development of pharmaceuticals and related technology. It is a forum to explore issues of mutual concern as well as exchange knowledge, share evidence, ideas, and generate solutions.

Why to Attend???

Patient Safety movement is an opportunity to meet others within speciality to network and to learn the latest clinical information. It is an opportunity no nurse should overlook. Nursing conferences allow nurses of all levels of experience to participate in an area of career and education growth that is not easily found within the structure of the workplace. Some nurses, especially those working at the bedside, may not see the significance of attending a conference. All too often the floor/ bedside nurse believes that conferences are only for management, while others may think that spending one or more days not earning a pay check may not outweigh the opportunity to clock in some additional overtime. There may be a whole host of other reasons why a nurse would prefer to remain home rather than attending a conference.  Despite the plentiful excuses (the top two being cost and time), the benefits far outweigh the costs.

Session 11: Clinical Trials

Clinical trials also known as clinical research studies that follow a pre-defined plan or protocol. Researchers design clinical trials (Clinical study designs) to answer specific research questions related to a medical product. A clinical study involves research using human volunteers (also called participants) that is intended to add to medical knowledge.

Clinical trials for the development of new drugs are and their most part initiated and financed by industry. There are also many clinical trials initiated by academic clinical researchers. Whether initiated by industry or by academic clinical investigators clinical research is often performed in national, European and worldwide consortia, which can sometimes, be very large ones. Clinical research raises profound ethical and safety questions. The protection of participants in a clinical trial is of paramount importance. As a consequence, clinical research is highly regulated. To facilitate collaborations across borders, many aspects of this regulation are harmonized at the European level but also worldwide.

Scope & Importance of Patient Safety 2017 Conference

It is globally perceived that safety and quality are basic measurements in the conveyance of health care.

Evidence demonstrates that services that are risky and of low quality prompt to decreased health outcomes and harm. Health services have seen an expanded emphasis on patient safety and quality healthcare following the 1999 assessment of health care related damage performed by the US Institute of Medicine (IOM). Procedures to enhance patient safety at the individual, institutional, and health-system level give entry points to outlining high dependability health care arrangements. Mediations have been created and conveyed by nations and associations, yet have been connected haphazardly, depending on the administrative setting and technical capacities of every setting. More resourced settings have adopted proactive strategies in executing this work, while low and medium income nations have considered patient safety something to address once key framework issues are settled.

Still, in the UK, a pioneer in public health, recent estimations demonstrate that on average, one occurrence of  patient harm is reported every 35 seconds,1 while in the US, around 1.5 million patients are harmed and, thousands killed every year because of hazardous medication.

The conference will be organized to bring together practitioners, administrators, policy makers, politicians and researchers within the field of primary health care and public health. Conference themes will focus on issues related with Innovation, Sustainability, Equity, Critical thinking and Uncertainty. Internationally there is increasing recognition of the importance of the primary care system for improving health outcomes and managing costs. Stronger primary health systems are associated with better health outcomes and lower costs, particularly for children. Improved primary health and community support also has the potential to prevent hospital admissions, particularly for ambulatory sensitive conditions. As well, better primary health and community support can also prevent inappropriate and unnecessary use of residential care services.

Market value, Growth & Source of Funds

A growing market segment is demanding unscheduled access to primary healthcare services without consideration of health system or pre-existing clinician relationship. This population segment has given rise to a new set of "on demand" primary healthcare delivery channels. These on demand delivery channels have strong growth projections (ranging from 6.5 to 34 percent annually) over the next several years creating an opportunity or threat for the traditional primary care providers and the health systems.

As per estimates, the healthcare market is projected to grow at 12.0% p.a. to US$ 69.4 billion by 2018 from an estimated US$ 39.4 billion in 2013. Outpatient and inpatient markets are expected to account for 79% and 21%, respectively, of the overall market size.

United Kingdom stayed in 14th place with HDI of 0.90 with lower gross national income of £26,245 ($39,267) but a homicide rate of one per million. In 2013, the gross domestic expenditure on research and development performed in the UK (GERD), in current prices, increased by 7% to £28.9 billion compared with 2012 and the business sector performed 64% of UK R&D expenditure in 2013. On average UK consumers will spend £1,174 online in 2015, which would make us the most frequent online shoppers in Europe. In comparison, the average German is predicted to spend £1,023 while in France the figure is £847. In-store sales are predicted to drop by 1.4% in 2015, but an 18.4% increase in online sales means that total retail revenues will increase by an average of 2% and France with 22% and 2015-2020 it increases to 35%.International comparisons show that UK R&D expenditure in 2013 was below the European Union (EU-28) provisional estimate of 2.02% of GDP, but the 12th highest of all member countries. UK is the fifth biggest economy by 2020’ Germany has the second-oldest population in the world behind Japan,“In the longer run, other emerging markets may overtake the UK, but only India looks set to do so before 2030. More than 90% of its products are sold outside the UK, in 72 countries.
